Program Manager

The Green Chemistry & Commerce Council (GC3) is a growing multi-stakeholder collaborative that drives the commercial adoption of safer, more sustainable chemicals, processes, and products by catalyzing and guiding action across all industries, sectors, and supply chains. We are looking for a seasoned program manager, someone with a passion for environmental and sustainability issues, and who knows how to evaluate and improve programs. Our members are companies, government agencies, advocates and other thought leaders in the safety and sustainability space who are looking to share innovative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing problems. If you believe in the power of collaboration to catalyze change, we look forward to talking with you. We are searching for a data-driven decision-maker with strong relationship building skills to help engage our members in high quality program activities. We need someone who can clearly articulate a theory of change and logic model while telling a compelling story about our impact. The Program Manager will work alongside the Program Director and Project Leads to produce high-quality programming, educational and impactful events, and assist with evaluation for our nonprofit business association. The Program Manager will work with the Program Director to implement the strategic program plan, enact the program evaluation plan, and reach desired outcomes and impact. An ideal candidate will have previous experience designing, running, and evaluating programs. If you are personable and a collaborative team player with strong analytic skills this may be a good fit. In this role, you will make a difference by improving human and environmental health on a global scale.
 
Program Manager Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates operation to
  • confirm that assigned programs are completed according to specifications, stay within budget, delivery outcomes, and timelines.
  • Assists Program Director in evaluating programs.
  • Regularly communicates with members to arrange meetings, confirm program schedules, and discuss any program problems.
  • Ensures that members are regularly informed of the status of the program.
  • Regularly communicates with management regarding the program’s status and any problems or potential problems.
  • Works closely with Program Director to plan and execute events and webinars.
  • Forecasts potential schedule delays and develops alternate plans.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Program Manager Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in relevant science or engineering field preferred.
  • At least three years of program delivery and evaluation experience preferred.

This is a full-time, remote and benefited position with a distributed team. Availability during regular work hours is required although flex-time is allowed.
