MODE Tracker is a tool for fashion brands and retailers to track their sustainability progress. MADE-BY has developed a roadmap for becoming a leader in sustainable fashion, and MODE Tracker is designed to help companies move towards that goal by achieving and communicating milestones. The tool generates simple visual scorecards for clear, credible stakeholder communication, while also providing detailed assessment results for internal use.

Tool Description

The MADE-BY roadmap includes eight areas that span the full product lifecycle: product, people, manufacturing, packaging & transport, own operations, use & durability, product waste, and transparency. Participating companies must submit data for People, Product, and at least one other area. MADE-BY independently verifies the data and issues a scorecard and detailed evaluation of activities, enabling the company to communicate results externally while strategizing internally.

Tool Requirements

Each company using MODE Tracker commits to working with MADE-BY for at least three years to track progress, and communicate progress by publishing results from at least the second year. Companies submit their existing data and documents to MADE-BY for verification of sustainable activity in at least three areas, two of which must be People and Product.
